Rainton Construction is an award-winning specialist civil engineering and road surfacing company with extensive experience of delivering high-quality, sustainable construction services throughout the North East of England.

With a reputation for adding value, we self-deliver works as a principal contractor for Government and Local Authorities as well as supporting Tier 1 contractors through partnership agreements and places on frameworks, this allows us to establish trusted relationships with clients. Our surfacing division undertakes all its own cold milling works as well as the surfacing operations on principal, non-principal, and unclassified roads for several local authorities.

We have worked on range of high-profile schemes including the TBM Launch Ramp for Strabag and Rail Manufacturing Facility for Hitachi Rail Europe. Our services are delivered by our skilled team of innovative and creative thinkers who apply specialist knowledge to solve complex civil engineering challenges. Utilising the latest modern methods, technology and equipment we deliver impactful engineering solutions.

Committed to quality

Our hard work and dedication to a sustainable and high-quality service has recently been met with official industry recognition in the form of five awards from the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA). These awards highlight the diverse capabilities of our business as well as demonstrating the importance of having the right skillsets in house to carry out the works to the highest possible standard. We previously won a CECA Award back in 2015 for Freemans Reach, Durham.
