MGL Group Construction Academy

We are passionate about training and upskilling our workforce, creating opportunities, and supporting our local younger generation to work within the construction industry. Our sector-based Construction Academy in partnership with Derwentside College is an opportunity for young people to learn a new trade and to join the Rainton Construction team based in County Durham.

As part of a workshop we met with our group of unemployed learners, the enthusiasm from the male and female potential employees was fantastic and we’re looking forward to progressing the programme. This will be an opportunity for the students to gain new skills and have the potential to secure employment.

We have a longstanding relationship with the college, we have attended a variety of career events including site visits, apprenticeship fairs and hosted workshops and seminars on working in the construction industry and the opportunities available at MGL Group.
