New tools for the children in Newcastle

As part of the Newcastle University Buildings Improvement Programme, MGL Demolition carried out demolition and asbestos removal at Henderson Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne. To ensure value beyond the core services we provide and to positively impact on the local community, we delivered new gardening tools to the Wor Lotty project next door.

Wor Lotty, in association with Food Nation in Heaton, provides a range of educational programmes that are suitable for children of all ages and abilities including cooking, food growing and good nutrition workshops. The produce is also used in the local Harissa Kitchen menu and in food education projects.

The tools will help local school children to plant, grow and harvest produce, while enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
